The diva belted out her greatest hits and reached all the high notes after nearly a year away from the stage. Mama’s still got it!
Mariah Carey took the stage for the FIRST time on March 1 at Gotham Hall in New York since giving birth to her twins Monroe and Moroccan last April. “I didn’t realize this was a big deal,” the 41-year-old said about her big return performance.
The gleaming new mother boasted about the twins all night. Mariah didn’t have any real rehearsals before the show other than “just practicing in front of my babies,” she told the adoring audience. DaddyNick Cannon, who is “doing great,” cared for the twins while mommy proved her diva status.
“I dedicate this one to the babies,” Mariah said before proudly singing “Always Be My Baby.”
Mariah didn’t miss a beat on her fan favorites “Hero,” “Touch My Body” and the song of the decade (2000-2010) “We Belong Together.”
P. Diddy opened the event with a medley of his biggest hits. The concert was one of four shows Thursday dubbed “Plot Your Escape: Four Concerts. Countless Celebrities. 1 Epic Night,” by Caesars Entertainment.
