A little more than a year ago, there was controversy when Lady Gaga released “Born This Way,” which some felt was a ripoff ofMadonna’s “Express Yourself.”
And even though Gaga told Jay Leno on the “Tonight Show” in 2011 that Madonna sent her “love and complete support,” earlier this year the Material Girl seemed to have an issue with “Born This Way.”
Madonna told Newsweek that when she first heard the song, she felt is was a “redo” of “Express Yourself,” and “thought it was… interesting.”
Apparently, Madonna now thinks “Born This Way” is interesting enough to incorporate into her shows because video has emerged of her weaving the Gaga anthem into “Express Yourself” while rehearsing in Israel a few days ahead of her concert in Tel Aviv on May 31.
