Resident Evil: Retribution Expected to Beat Finding Nemo for Weekend Win

It’s looking like an Evil weekend.
Resident Evil: Retribution, the fifth installment in the hit sci-fi series starring Milla Jovovich, is expected to earn approximately $23 million to beat the re-release of Finding Nemo ($18 million) for the top spot at the box office.
After that, it’s a sharp drop to horror flick The Possession, which is tracking toward $6 million and third place, ahead of the Shia LaBeouf-Tom Hardy bootlegging dramaLawless ($4.5 million).
The rest of the chart is tightly packed.
Sylvester Stallone’s action opus The Expendables 2 should be #5 with about $3.3 million, beating the Bradley Cooper-led ensemble literary meditation The Words ($3 million).
The Bourne Legacy and The Odd Life of Timothy Green is projected to be neck and neck at $2.7 million apiece.
To round out the Top 10, political farce The Campaign ($2.4 million) is expected to edge political documentary 2016: Obama’s America ($2.1 million).
