Kristen Stewart hit the red carpet for the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of On The Road on Thursday.

The occasion marked Stewart’sfirst official appearance since her recent tabloid travails, but despite the circumstances, the actress seemed upbeat while interviewed by MTV.
Stewart and co-star Garrett Hedlund discussed their deep personal investment in the project, and Stewart expressed gratitude for her fans’ support.
Later, asked about the night’s big Video Music Awards premiere of a new Breaking Dawn – Part 2 teaser — in which her character Bella Swan is seen tackling a mountain lion — Stewart quipped, ”I don’t like cats. [I'm a] dog person.”
