The track, reportedly titled “New Slaves,” is the first song released from the rapper’s highly-anticipated upcoming album, rumored to hit stores on June 18.
The lyrics feature West ranting about 21st century racism, and his disdain for the media.
“I move my family out the country /So you can’t see where I stay/So go and grab the reporters/So I can smash their recorders,” he raps.
Hours before the song’s unveiling, West revealed the launch locations on his official site, directing fans to buildings in New York, Chicago, London and Paris, among others.
The unique project will continue in various locations throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, West will appear as a musical guest on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live.”
