One Direction announced on Thursday their new “Where We Are” world tour as well as the release of a new album.
TOUR DATES BELOW
At a press conference, held at Wembley Stadium in London, Liam Payne said the new record — which will be out before the end of the year — features a lot of songs the band members have written, and that “it’s a bit more edgy.”
Louis Tomlinson noted as well that it would have a ”rockier tone.”
As for the new tour, which will kick off in April 2014, Niall Horan said, ”We are ecstatic. We have only been a band for three years and we’re already doing stadiums – including Wembley.”
Added Harry Styles, “It’s important the fans and everyone who comes to see the show know it’s going to be much bigger and new songs. A completely different tour.”
The band added that more concert dates will be announced, including a U.S. leg to the tour.
