Philip Seymour Hoffman reportedly checked into detox for a drug habit earlier this month.
The Oscar winner left an East Coast facility last week after 10 days of treatment for substance abuse that began with prescription pills before escalating to heroin, according to TMZ.
Hoffman is said to have entered detox about a week into the heroin use, recognizing that things had gotten out of control.
He is reportedly already clean and working on a film set in Europe.
The actor dealt with drug abuse problems in his early twenties but had been sober for two decades before the recent relapse
