Chad Johnson Slaps Lawyer’s Butt, Gets 30 Days In Jail

Chad Johnson was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating his probation after infuriating the judge by playfully slapping his lawyer on the butt during a Monday court appearance.
Broward County Judge Kathleen McHugh rejected the former NFL star’s proposed no-prison plea, accusing him of not taking the proceedings seriously after Johnson reportedly patted his male attorney on the backside when McHugh asked whether he was satisfied with his legal representation.
“I don’t know that you’re taking this whole thing seriously. I just saw you slap your attorney on the backside. Is there something funny about this?” McHugh was quoted as saying.
She continued, “The whole courtroom was laughing. I’m not going to accept these plea negotiations. This isn’t a joke.”
Johnson’s probation was also extended until December 2013, and he must now complete an additional 25 hours of community service.
His probation was mandated last September after Johnson pleaded no contest to domestic domestic battery in connection with an August 2012 head-butting incident with then-wife Evelyn Lozada.
