Beyonce Holds Moment of Silence For Trayvon Martin at Nashville Concert

Beyonce asked for a moment of silence in honor of Trayvon Martin at her concert in Nashville on Saturday, when a Florida jury found George Zimmerman not guilty of murdering the slain teenager.
“I’d like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon,” the singer is quoted as saying to the crowd as the stage darkened.

After the gesture, Beyonce performed the chorus of “I Will Always Love You” and then her own song “Halo.”
Celebrities across the country reacted to the controversial Zimmerman verdict late Saturday and early Sunday.
