Lea Michele Statement On Cory Monteith Death: This is a “Devastating Time”

Lea Michele’s rep has issued a statement for the actress on Cory Monteith’s death.

Michele’s spokesperson tells Gossip Cop, “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.”

The actress and Monteith have been dating since 2011.

Michele publicly stood by the actor when he entered rehab for substance abuse in March, saying, “I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”

Monteith’s “Glee” co-stars have been mourning his shocking death on Twitter.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
