Idris Elba Admits He Sold Drugs

Idris Elba is opening up about his past involvement with drugs.

The actor confessed to US Weekly when he moved to the U.S. to pursue acting in 1999, he got by on selling marijuana on the streets of New York.

The Wire star, who says he spent weeks homeless and living in his car, reveals,”I was running with cats. I mean, I was DJ’ing, but I was also pushing bags of weed; I was doing my work. I had to. I know that sounds corny, but this is the truth.”

We’re glad Idris is on a better path now.
