Kanye West: I'm Just Like Vanellope von Schweetz From Wreck-It Ralph!

Name that toon! Kanye West isn't just the "No. 1 rock star on the planet" -- he's also, in his mind, the misunderstood star of his own game, a la Vanellope von Schweetz in Disney's animated 2012 film Wreck-It Ralph, about an arcade villain (Ralph, voiced by John C. Reilly) who dreams of becoming a hero. The rapper, 36, recently sat down with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe for an outrageous, hour-long interview in which he compared his place in the fashion industry to Vanellope's place in the movie.

"It's in my code," West said of his passion for designing. "Have y'all ever seen Wreck-It Ralph? You remember how that girl in there -- the people that was racing? She was the glitch. You're telling me they don't look at me like the motherf--king glitch? You're telling me people don't look at Kanye West like the glitch?"
Misfit racer Vanellope, voiced by Sarah Silverman, was shunned by the other characters in the flick, who falsely believed she didn't belong. But -- spoiler alert! -- it's later revealed that she's actually the star of the game they're all playing.
"She was on the side of the video game the whole time!" West exclaimed. "It's in my code."
Lowe then drew another parallel between West's critics and Vanellope's haters, who tried to keep her out of her own game by ruining her racing kart. "Yeah, they broke Vanellope's car!" West agreed. "Vanellope von Schweetz, they broke her car!"
