Siegfried & Roy, the legendary Las Vegas performers who retired from showbiz 10 years ago when Roy Horn was mauled by a tiger, made a rare public appearance on Saturday.
The dynamic duo accepted a $10,000 check for their charity, The SARMOTI Foundation, which is dedicated to protect endangered and threatened animals globally, with particular focus on the big cats: tigers, lions, cheetahs, panthers and leopards. SARMOTI is an acronym for Siegfried & Roy’s former show at the Mirage called “Siegfried And Roy: Masters Of The Impossible.”
Las Vegas entertainment reporter Robin Leach says a four-hour documentary is being made about Roy’s 10 year journey back to health
after his injuries.

Roy turns 69 on Thursday and Siegfried is throwing him a huge birthday bash/fundraiser for their new foundation.
