Lucy Hale Covers 'Company' November 2013

Lucy Hale takes over the November 2013 cover of Company magazine.

The 24-year-old Pretty Little Liars actress opened up to the glossy about body image, fashion and her upcoming music career. Check it:

On body image: “I’m very happy to talk about this. Once my body image struggles were out there, I realized that my experience might help someone else. I feel pressure all the time to look a certain way, so if I can relieve that pressure for someone else, then great. You’re in front of a camera all day, so of course some days you wake up and feel gross, but in the past year I’ve gotten better. My body is normal and I’m not trying to prove anything.”

On music: “You know, I actually moved to LA from Memphis to do music, and then by accident the acting took off, so it’s great for me to get back to doing my first love. That’s pretty much my biggest fear [that people will brush it off], actually. But then, if people know me from the show and that’s why they give my music a go, then that’s great. I’ve kept quiet about it until the album was done to avoid the clichés as long as possible, but I’m ready for it now – and the music can speak for itself.”

On fashion: “In real life I just wear what I want. I used to think Jennifer Aniston always looked really boring, but I’ve realized that is actually how people, me included, dress in real life. But, for events, I have a lot of help. I’m 24 years old, so I’m trying to evolve my style slowly and gracefully. I’ve hired a stylist called Penny Lovell and she’s British and really cool. She’s styled Emma Watson and people like that.”
