The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is expected to continue its box office rampage through the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
According to early estimates, the franchise blockbuster will earn about $100 million for the Wednesday-through-Sunday period, enough to stay atop the chart for a second consecutive week.
The animated Disney film Frozen should wrap up second place with a projected $85 million.
It looks like Thor: The Dark World will be #3 with approximately $16 million, beating The Best Man Holiday ($12 million), Delivery Man($12 million), and the new Jason Statham-James Franco release Homefront ($9 million).
The Book Thief is on track for seventh place at $6 million, followed by Free Birds ($5 million), Gravity ($4 million), and Last Vegas($3.5 million).
