The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Frozen are in a neck-and-neck battle for box office supremacy this weekend, with both films projected for about $30 million in early estimates.
Jennifer Lawrence’s sequel is looking for a third consecutive win, having already soared past $300 million domestically.
Meanwhile, the animated Disney film has been a big hit with families in its first two weeks and is already well past $100 million itself.
Out of the Furnace, starring Christian Bale and Woody Harrelson, is on pace for a third-place finish, with approximately $5.5 million.
The #4 spot could go to Thor: The Dark World ($4 million), followed by a tightly packed group including Homefront, The Book Thief, Delivery Man and Philomena.
