American Idol Top 24 Season 14 Revealed!

The full “American Idol” Top 24 for season 14 was revealed on Thursday’s episode. See the complete list of contestants below!
As Extreme Entertainment reported, the final batch of 48 singers had to each give one last performance in front of an audience at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. The judges had to eliminate exactly half of the contestants afterward, leading to some brutal cuts.
When Wednesday’s episode ended, the fate of early favorite Hollywood Anderson was left hanging in the balance. At the start of Thursday’s show, it was revealed he didn’t score one of the coveted Top 24 spots after faltering during Hollywood Week. Right after, though, Joey Cook, who stood out in the audition round for performing with an accordion, advanced to the elite next phase, even though she, too, didn’t have the greatest run in Hollywood Week.
Among the most shocking eliminations was that of 16-year-old Maddy Hudson, who, as Extreme Entertainment reported, Jennifer Lopez predicted would win the whole competition after her first audition. Lopez even acknowledged again now that they believed she was a frontrunner, until proving during Hollywood Week that she just wasn’t ready yet. Shortly afterward, Savion Wright, who was eliminated at this point last year, was told he finally made it.
Similarly, four-time contestant Sarina-Joi Crowe survived Hollywood Week for the first time. Also welcomed into the Top 24 were former “Voice” contestant Mark Andrew, as well as Qaasim Middleton, whose mom memorably blurted out before his audition that he’s a virgin. The final spot went to Shi Scott.
Here is how the Top 24 breaks down. The 12 female contestants are: Lovey James, Loren Lott, Adanna Duru, Maddie Walker, Tyanna Jones, Shannon Berthiaume, Jax, Joey Cook, Katherine Winston, Alexis Gomez, Sarina-Joi Crowe, and Shi Scott. The 12 male contestants are: Michael Simeon, Adam Ezegelian, Clark Beckham, Rayvon Owen, Daniel Seavey, Quentin Alexander, Trevor Douglas, Savoin Wright, Mark Andrew, Nick Fradiani, Jr., Qaasim Middleton, and Riley Bria.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, the Top 24, or at least their silhouettes, were initially teased in December with a preview showing the contestants performing, but not revealing their identities. Watching again now (see below), some of the singers are definitely recognizable. Next Wednesday, the men of the Top 24 will perform, followed by the women on Thursday. Viewers will get to vote for the first time this season, sending six of each gender into the Top 12 and the live stage of the competition. Who are you rooting for?
