Courteney Cox was NOT “dumped” at the altar by her fiancé Johnny McDaid and her engagement is NOT off, despite a new report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively bust this inaccurate claim, which was published this week in the tabloids. A source close to Cox tells Extreme Entertainment that the rumored split is “not true.”
According to Star, Cox had a “terrible fight with her now ex-fiance,” and, as a result, McDaid has “called off the engagement.” The tabloid then has a so-called “insider” allege that “Courteney accused Johnny of flirting with a hot young blonde” at a post-Grammys party, and after she “flipped out,” the Snow Patrol rocker “told her there’s no way he’s marrying her.”
Of course, if this really happened at a party after the Grammys, why didn’t anyone else see it? And why didn’t Star publish it last week? Instead of having real answers and facts, the tabloid’s questionable “insider” just rattles off differences between Cox and McDaid to semi-bolster its claim that the “engagement is off.” The magazine’s “insider” says rather unnaturally, “Courteney wants to live in L.A. full time, but Johnny wants to spend time in the U.K. too, since he’s from Northern Ireland,” and “he’s very mellow, and she’s very type A.”
Presumably, all of that had been covered before McDaid asked Cox to marry him.
