Lady Gaga and Glenn Beck are friends! Maybe not, but Beck is apparently a Little Monster, after effusively praising Gaga’s The Sound of Music performance from the Oscars on his radio show on Monday.
As Extreme Entertainment previously reported, Gaga’s performance was widely hailed as one of the top moments at the Academy Awards. Beck may not agree with Gaga’s personal politics, but he is definitely on board with Gaga as a performer.
“This woman is an absolute artist,” the commentator said of Gaga. “She is a genius. And at first, everybody mocked her. Then she just became such a big pop star, but a lot of people, again, continued to mock her.” But Beck is a Little Monster, describing Gaga as being “the way artists should be.” He also called her a “master craftswoman.” On Monday, Gaga tweeted a link to the Beck segment on her, writing, “A very humbling review of my Oscar performance… I love this piece of music so much, thank you.”
Of course, Julie Andrews, the star of The Sound of Music, was also moved by Gaga’s performance, saying during the Oscars that it “warmed her heart,” and in a subsequent interview that she had a “new friend” in Gaga.
