Amber Portwood slammed rumors that her boyfriend Matt Baier proposed to her in November as part of her “Teen Mom OG” storyline. On Monday, the MTV star took to Twitter to shoot down a RadarOnline report that claimed they faked their engagement. The site ran a headline that read, “Amber Portwood Engaged To On-Off Boyfriend Matt Baier — But Just For The Cameras!”
“Everyone read @radar_online with their credited source the mailman… lol,” Portwood sarcastically tweeted, debunking the site’s premise that a proposal would only be for the reality series. Earlier, the webloid reported a so-called “insider” revealed that the 43-year-old Baier popped the question, but it “was all for show.” The blog’s supposed insider added that there was no way Baier was able to buy Portwood her diamond engagement ring because he doesn’t have a job. “He doesn’t have that kind of money,” RadarOnline’s alleged source said. Of course, like fake stories, there are also cheaper fake diamonds.
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Portwood and her “16 & Pregnant” costars Farrah Abraham,Catelynn Lowell and Maci Bookout are all returning for MTV’s “Teen Mom OG.” In the new season, viewers will see Portwood try to reconnect with her 6-year-old daughter Leah after serving 17-months in prison. “Teen Mom OG” begins airing on March 23.
