FKA Twigs, who performed a concert in Paris on Wednesday that drew fans, including serious boyfriend Robert Pattinson (photos below), is set to make seven short films in just one week at the Manchester International Festival between July 9-15. And spectators will be able to watch Twigs make the mini-movies, it was announced on Thursday. There is no word yet on what Twigs will create. The Manchester International Festival is a biennial event that draws around 250,000 visitors to its various performances and art installations.
Twigs, of course, is known mostly for her music but also her highly visual videos. And, according to the Manchester International Festival, small groups of people will be “invited into the studio during the day to encounter and observe the process as it unfolds.” Along with her collaborators, Twigs will shoot the short films at the Old Grenada Studios, and will later screen them at the festival.
As Extreme Entertainment previously noted, Twigs played the Casino de Paris on Wednesday and was escorted out of the 18th century musical hall by a protective Pattinson. See photos here of Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs leaving the Casino de Paris. Contrary to an absurd story by Star about Twigs and Pattinson now having an “open relationship,” our sources confirm that the couple couldn’t be more serious about each other or more devoted to one another.
