Nick Jonas was NOT responsible forDemi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama splitting up, despite a bogus tabloid report. Extreme Entertainment can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Extreme Entertainment reported, Lovato and Valderrama announced on Twitter last week that they were ending their six-year relationship. “This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends,” read the statement. “We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years.”
But despite the breakup being amicable and the two staying on good terms, In Touch claims the relationship fell apart after a blowup fight over Valderrama’s supposed jealousy of Jonas, whom Lovato is touring with later this month. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “[Valderrama] told her he thought she was in love with Nick. They would scream at each other and it sounded like the house was going to fall down.”
The magazine goes on to quote its seemingly phony source as saying, “Wilmer found texts from Demi begging Nick to talk to her and he blew up,” before arbitrarily alleging that the singer is now fighting with Jonas as well. But Extreme Entertainment checked in with a source close to the situation, who exclusively assures us that Jonas played absolutely no part in Lovato and Valderrama’s split. We’re told the tabloid’s claim about Jonas supposedly coming between the couple is simply “not true.” “Wilmer and Nick get along great,” adds our impeccable insider.
Interestingly, last month Extreme Entertainment called out In Touch for falsely claiming that Lovato and Jonas were feuding and supposedly “ready to end their friendship.” That report was completely untrue, and the same goes for the magazine’s latest story, which now claims Valderrama split with Lovato for being “in love” with Jonas.
