It looks like the marital bliss once shared by Katy Perry and Russell Brand will soon be officially over. After the former pair submitted paperwork to the court on Feb. 8, Judge Marc Marmaro signed off on their settlement documents.
According to Radar Online, the documents state that the couple, “have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”
While their divorce won’t become legal until July 14 of this year, it’s been confirmed that within the settlement agreement, Katy will retain her maiden name “Hudson,” and that Russell has waived his rights to a portion of his ex-wife’s fortune.
Though I’m still super sad that Katy and Russell split, I’ve gotta admit, this is one of the most amicable, high-profile divorces I’ve heard about in quite some time! Do you agree?
