Whitney’s daughter spoke with Oprah Winfrey after the sudden death, but now her family thinks she needs time away from the spotlight in order to process the loss.
Bobbi Kristina Brown was devastated after her mother Whitney Houston‘s February 11 death, and now her family wants her out of the spotlight.
Whitney’s family thinks that Bobbi, 19, needs to take time to herself after her interview with Oprah Winfrey airs, PEOPLE reports.
“There is still no resolution and there has been nothing concrete on the cause of [Whitney's] death, and they were hoping for that,” a source close to the family says. “There were members of the family who weren’t keen on [the interview] going down at this time. There are people who just want her to stay out of the limelight for a while. This is a little girl who just needs some time. She’s so very young and impressionable. She has to start finding herself as a woman on her own as opposed to defining herself as Whitney’s daughter and Whitney’s support. It’s kind of interesting to see what’s going to happen to her from here on in.”
The show will air March 11 on Oprah’s Next Chapter on her network, OWN. Will YOU watch Bobbi Kristina’s first interview,
