“Jersey Shore” star and resident ”Blast in a Glass” Deena Cortese called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” on Friday to chat about the season finale, and gives us the scoop onSnooki‘s pregnancy and engagement.
On When She Found Out Snooki Was Pregnant:
“I actually just found out when everybody else did. That’s when she decided to tell everyone. I think she was waiting because it’s bad luck.” When asked if Snooki had revealed the sex of the baby to her, Deena replied, “I don’t know actually. I don’t think she can even tell yet, I don’t think she is far enough along.”

On What Kind of Mom Snooki Will Be:
“I actually think Nicole is going to be a great mom. She’s a very genuine, nice person, her heart is always in the right place. She always puts people before her. She’s going to love that little meatball,” Deena tells us.

On Snooki’s Engagement:
“I think this has been her dream. Getting married. Having kids. So, she’s really happy and I’m happy for her. I’m going to miss my little partner in crime, but I’m happy for her.”

On When She Will Get Engaged And Have a Baby:
“I don’t think I’m ready for that [marriage] yet. I just got a boyfriend, which is cool. So, I’m just going to take it slow,” she says. “I’m a little older than Nicole, but I think I’d rather wait maybe a couple more years, until I pop out a meatball. I can’t even take care of myself, how am I supposed to take care if a baby right now?”
On The ‘Jersey Shore’ Season Finale:
“I actually haven’t even seen the finale yet, but I think there’s some drama and we take a couple trips. So, I think it’s going to be a really good one.” She adds, “You’ll have to wait and see, but you know Mike, he’s always trying to stir the pot somewhere.” The reunion show airs the week after the finale, and Deena says, “I pray to film again, because I love filming. Nicole can maybe stop by and we can maybe throw a baby shower.”
