Cha-ching! Matt Lauer is possibly getting paid a cool $25 million to stay on ‘Today.’ Do you think he’s worth it?
Matt Lauer, 54, may be losing his hair, but he can afford to buy a cure for all of mankind now that NBC’s reportedly offered to cut him a $25 million multiyear deal — which is an $8 million dollar bump from his last contract, reports Newsday.
Although NBC reps declined to comment, the official announcement will most likely be in May, which will be the cherry on the top of what has been a ratings resurgence for the network, thanks to The Voice, Smash, and Awake.
We guess Ryan Seacrest will have to wait a couple more years to consider infiltrating the richest morning franchise.
