Despite reports that Whitney tried to commit suicide two days before her death, her cousin Dionne insisted on ‘Good Morning America’ today, March 8, that Whitney was “up” and “happy,” before she died.
Dionne Warwick sat down with GMA’s Robin Roberts on March 8 to talk about her relationship withWhitney Houston and her last conversation with her iconic cousin on the day she died. “She was so up and happy. She had everything in the world to live for,” Dionne told Robin.
Dionne spoke lovingly of Whitney, referring to her as the “little girl” she never had. “Whitney will be very much alive in here,” she said touching her heart.
Listening to Whitney’s “Saving All My Love For You” brought tears to Dionne’s eyes, saying that songwas “the reason Whitney became Whintey.”
Whitney dearly wanted her cousin to be there for her on the day she died. And even though she’s gone, Dionne will continue to be there for Whitney.
