Catching Fire may have found its director: Francis Lawrence.
The Water for Elephants filmmaker will soon receive an official offer for the job, Gossip Copcan confirm.
The gig to helm The Hunger Games sequel became available earlier this month after Gary Ross decided not to continue with the franchise.
Lawrence’s film credits also include I Am Legend andConstantine, as well as a slew of music videos for everyone from Justin Timberlake and Incubus toBeyonce and Alanis Morissette.
He currently serves as an executive producer on FOX’s “Touch,” and received a Grammy last year for directingLady Gaga‘s “Bad Romance” video.
