Dick Clark Has Been Cremated


Dick Clark, who died of a massive heart attack on Wednesday, has been cremated, his rep confirms to Gossip Cop.
Although “Entertainment Tonight” is reporting that Clark’s ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean, the broadcasting icon’s rep tells us, “The family has not decided” what to do with his ashes, and that “no plans have been finalized.”
Earlier today it was announced that fans of Clark will be able to write messages about him on pieces of confetti that will be used to shower midtown Manhattanwhen the clock strikes midnight next December 31.
A giant of broadcasting, Clark hosted the “American Bandstand,” decades’ worth of “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” telecasts and game shows including the “Pyramid” franchise.
Clark also created the American Music Awards and co-hosted the long-running “TV’s Bloopers & Practical Jokes.”
Nicknamed “America’s Oldest Teenager,” Clark is survived by his third wife, Kari Wigton, and three children from previous marriages.
Clark was 82.
