“R-Patz and Katy Perry are spotted together at wedding rehearsal… as it’s claimed their friendship caused Kristen Stewart split,” reads the headline of a story from the Daily Mail, which goes on to claim that the nature of the “Firework” singer’s relationship with Robert Pattinson “is getting curiouser and curiouser.”
After noting how Pattinson and Perry recently hung out in New York and were reportedly spotted randomly checking out a wedding dress rehearsal in Santa Barbara, California over the weekend, the British tab then credits Life & Style(of all places) for reporting that the singer prodded the Twilight star to dump Stewart.
A so-called “source” for the tab is quoted as saying, “Katy told Rob she didn’t think their relationship could withstand the cheating scandal. And he deserved better than someone who would destroy a family.”
Enough.
(1) There is absolutely nothing going on between Pattinson and Perry, an insider tells Gossip Cop.
(2) Perry did NOT tell or cause her platonic pal to split from Stewart.
Anything else you read about this is a fabrication.
