The talk show host was surprised when financier John Molner popped the question over the Labor Day weekend.
Katie told People that he took her to a beach in East Hampton and said they were there for a reason. “Finally he said, ‘Couric, I’m trying to propose to you,’ and I was stunned.”
“It took me a while to say yes, because I was so confused!” she added. “It took a long time for my brain to process what was going on.”
