Katy Perry has angered the activists at PETA with the video for her song “Roar” because she used trained animals.

In the footage, Perry is seen interacting with a number of animals, including a chimp and an elephant.
PETA says in a statement furnished to Extreme Entertainment, “Animals used for entertainment endure horrific cruelty and suffer from extreme confinement and violent training methods. They often become stressed and anxious when hauled around and forced into unfamiliar or frightening situations.”
The organization adds that it believes the animals used for the video came from a company that has “been inspected by the US Department of Agriculture 22 times since 2001.”
