Urban is the only returning judge from last season. Lopez was a judge for two years but took a break from the 2013 season, in which she was replaced – unsuccessfully – by Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. Connick is the only A.I. newcomer to the judging table, though he had been a guest mentor in the past. Former longtime judge Randy Jackson will spent this season as an in-house mentor to contestants.

The photo was taken Wednesday while the three were judging auditions in Boston. No word on how many contestants they decided to “send to Hollywood.”
