Gravity continues to orbit above the competition.
The Sandra Bullock-George Clooney space thriller is expected to win a third consecutive weekend at the box office, with early estimates putting it at $29 million.
That would outdo the newly released Carrie remake ($18 million) and the Tom Hanks piracy drama Captain Phillips ($17 million).
It looks like animated family film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 will earn roughly $11 million for fourth place.
The Sylvester Stallone-Arnold Schwarzenegger action flick Escape Plan ($10 million) is projected for the #5 spot.
