Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi Looks Up To Controversial Facebook Fat-Shaming Mom

Facebook sensation Maria Kang has one very public defender in none other than former Jersey Shore wild child Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

Fitness enthusiast Kang sparked internet outrage posting a photo of herself in tiny workout clothes and rock hard abs surrounded by her three toddlers with the caption “what’s your excuse?” causing many to claim she was fat-shaming new moms for not whipping back into perfect shape after baby.  The photo has been viewed over 16 million times and has caused a big debate on the post-baby weight issue.

Kang recently posted  to her Facebook page ”I’m sorry you took an image and resonated with it in such a negative way. I won’t go into details that I struggled with my genetics, had an eating disorder, …work full time owning two business’, have no nanny, am not naturally skinny and do not work as a personal trainer. I won’t even mention how I didn’t give into cravings for ice cream, french fries or chocolate while pregnant or use my growing belly as an excuse to be inactive.”   Basically she’s not sorry for what she posted, she’s just sorry you’re taking it the wrong way.

But she’s got a big celebrity fan in Snooki, who lost 50 pounds after having her son Lorenzo.  Snooki told OMG Insider reporter Nina Parker “[The image] is not offensive at all, that’s what lazy people say…[Kang] is actually who I look up to…I want to be a mom like that.”
