Selena Gomez will perform at halftime during the Dallas Cowboys’ game on Thanksgiving Day, kicking off The Salvation Army’s 123rd Red Kettle Campaign.
The singer said on Sunday, “Dallas is my hometown, and to be invited to perform on behalf of The Salvation Army is such a great honor.”
“Giving back is so important, and I am looking forward to kicking off the iconic Red Kettle Campaign and getting those bells ringing across the nation to help families and children in need,” she added.
Since partnering with the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day 1997, the Red Kettle Campaign has raised $1.75 billion for food, shelter, clothes, toys and other services for families in need.
Past Red Kettle Kickoff performers have included Kelly Clarkson, Enrique Iglesias, the Jonas Brothers, Keith Urban, Destiny’s Child, and Reba McEntire.
