Joan Rivers: Jennifer Lawrence Needs to “Grow Up” and “Calm Down”

Joan Rivers still has a bone to pick with Jennifer Lawrence.
Last month, the actress slammed Rivers’ “Fashion Police” for helping to promote a celebrity culture of superficiality and body-shaming, after which Rivers blasted Lawrence for her “arrogance”.
Rivers is now taking things up a notch in a New York Post interview.
The comedian tells the newspaper, “My New Year’s resolution is [ensuring] Jennifer Lawrence grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down.”
“I love that she’s telling everyone how wrong it is to worry about retouching and body image, and meanwhile, she has been touched up more than a choir boy at the Vatican,” continues Rivers.
She explains, “Look at her posters. She doesn’t have a nose, she has two holes. She just has to learn, don’t talk if you’re doing it.”
Not that Rivers doesn’t appreciate Lawrence’s talent.
“She’s an amazing actress,” she says of the American Hustle star. “She’s the next Meryl Streep.”
What do you think of Rivers’ latest comments about Lawrence?
