Jessica Steinhauser, better known as former porn star Asia Carrera, was arrested for drunk driving with a child in the car this week in St. George, Utah. The ex-adult film performer was found passed out in the Washington County School District building, where she’d driven her daughter for a test.
When a police officer roused Carrera, he smelled alcohol on her breath and asked her to show him her vehicle. Carrera attempted to leave the scene but was detained. She submitted to field sobriety tests, which she failed. Officers administered a Breathalyzer test, and Carrera blew a 0.254 percent, well above the 0.08 percent legal limit in Utah.
Carrera was arrested on misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol with a child under the age of 16 riding in the vehicle. She subsequently posted bail and was released. Interestingly, Carrera made news last year when she posed for her driver’s license photo with a colander on her head as a religious statement. An atheist, she cites membership in the so-called Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, a satirical movement also known as “Pastafarianism.” Utah does not allow hats or headgear in driver’s license picture, unless they’re religious garments.
