Drake Fake Tour: Concert Scam Promotes Phony Shows In Eight Cities

A promoter is running a scam, falsely claiming Drake will perform concerts in eight cities starting in May. It’s NOT true. An unidentified phony promotion company has tricked fans and venues into believing the rapper had scheduled shows in Houston, Miami and other cities this spring. But the “tour” is fake.
Fans have bought tickets for a bunch of non-existent concerts, including a supposed May 17 show at the Arena Theatre in Houston. Even the venue’s website has the alleged Drake show listed on its calendar. But it’s not happening, just like the other seven supposed shows are NOT happening.
“Drake has never been scheduled to appear at the Arena Theatre venue. When we learned of this situation we immediately encouraged the venue and promoter to contact law enforcement to initiate an investigation,” his rep says in a statement to Houston’s ABC-13. “We are horrified that someone would use Drake’s name to take advantage of his fans. For any individuals who may have fallen victim to this, please contact your local authorities.”
There are only a handful of legit Drake shows currently on the calendar: His concerts in Australia, where he is right now, his Coachella weekends in April, and festival gigs in New York (June) and London (July). Fans should not trust any other dates listed anywhere for the time being.
