The first full-length trailer for Tomorrowland, starring George Clooney, was released on Monday, and it is wild (video below). In the futuristic film, Clooney plays a former boy-genius, who teams up with a smart teenage girl named Casey (Britt Robinson) for a journey to a place in time and space known as “Tomorrowland,” where the Earth’s best and brightest work on solutions for the future.
Clooney can be heard ominously saying in the trailer that with “every second that ticks by, the future is running out.” He and the scientifically curious young woman, who happened upon a magical pin, set off to that “secret place,” where Clooney says “nothing is impossible,” to fix and change the world.
Hugh Laurie, Judy Greer, Tim McGraw, and Kathryn Hahn also star in the visually stunning journey, which features robots, rockets and apocalyptic landscapes. The trailer debuted shortly after the film’s director Brad Bird and his co-writer David Lindelof did a Facebook Q&A on Monday.
