The 2016 Billboard Music Awards are officially kicking off with a red carpet pre-show, and Extreme Entertainment has a live stream!
The BBMAs will be the first awards show to take place at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and as such, this is also the venue’s first red carpet. But in this case, it will actually be magenta. Indeed, the pre-show is titled “T-Mobile Magenta Carpet Live At The BBMAs.”
Part of the carpet will include what’s being called the T-Mobile Stage, where pre-show co-hosts Rachel Platten and Ted Stryker will interview stars as they arrive. Platten is probably best known for her inspirational hit “Fight Song,” while Stryker, a KROQ deejay, has been teaming up with the Billboard Music Awards since 2014. But there’s one other, dare we say,key.
DJ Khaled himself will be on hand “to provide fans with exclusive backstage and behind-the-scenes access on social media via Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook and Instagram before and during the show with #MusicFreedom,” it was announced last week. He’ll make appearances on the red, er, magenta carpet, and later give viewers a view of the ceremony from his seat.
