Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are returning to reality TV with a spinoff called “Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After,” it was announced on Wednesday.
As Extreme Entertainment has reported, the couple became engaged last fall, as seen on May’s finale of “The Bachelor.” While they’ve kept a relatively low profile since the show ended, fans will soon get to see how their relationship has evolved. And this time, it’ll be airing on Freeform instead of ABC.
“After you walk away from ‘The Bachelor,’ it’s not like your life becomes private. People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public,” Higgins tells Us Weekly. Bushnell adds, “We’re already used to sharing our lives with everyone else, so we thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s a fun way to share life after ‘The Bachelor.'”
The news comes just two days after Extreme Entertainment busted a tabloid story that falsely claimed Higgins and Bushnell’s romance was crumbling. The story from In Touch further alleged the former “Bachelor” star was still in love with runner-up JoJo Fletcher, and wanted her back. We debunked the story, and the couple’s TV plans confirm our reporting.
As Extreme Entertainment also recently reported, Higgins is still considering a run for the Colorado House of Representatives. In addition, he and Bushnell are also in the midst of planning their wedding, a process that will be captured by the reality TV cameras. “Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After” is expected to air this fall.
