According to In Touch, when Kidman recently walked the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of her upcoming film Lion, Urban was “nowhere to be found.” A so-called “source” tells the tabloid that “his absence was no mistake,” and after supposedly experiencing “10 years of dealing with Nicole’s controlling behavior,” he has finally “reached his breaking point.” The questionable insider further contends Urban “feels like he’s living in a dictatorship rather than a marriage,” since Kidman allegedly still keeps a “close watch on Keith because of his wild past.”
The publication’s seemingly fake source claims Kidman has begun to “keep track of Keith’s phone and makes him report to her on his whereabouts,” which supposedly leaves the country singer feeling like a child being “monitored by a teacher.” The outlet finishes its article by asserting friends “fear the worst” for their future together because Kidman continues to “doubt him,” and Urban is tired of her “jealousy.”
However, Extreme Entertainment looked into the magazine’s split allegations, and we’ve learned they’re completely baseless. An impeccable Kidman and Urban source assures us the tabloid’s report is “garbage” and “not true.” We’re told the couple is anything but “miserable,” as claimed by the publication.
This is not the first time In Touch has falsely stated their marriage was in trouble. Last year, the outlet wrongly reported Kidman and Urban were headed toward divorce. It was untrue then, and it’s still inaccurate.
