Ryan Lochte and partner Cheryl Burke did a foxtrot to Michael Buble’s “Call Me Irresponsible” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars” premiere, but it was marred afterwards when a protester rushed the stage. Watch the video below.
Before his routine, Lochte expressed that he was afraid that he’d fail. He said his biggest regret is “letting other people down.” Lochte added that he wanted to “prove to the world that I’ve changed… This is my second chance and I don’t want to blow it.” But as Lochte was about to be critiqued, someone rushed the stage and protested Lochte. The incident, however, was not shown on TV. Afterwards, Lochte said he was “hurt” because he came out with a “big smile.”
Carrie Ann Inaba felt, “You brought you best to this ballroom.” And Len Goodman said, “You’ve performed to a high level and people should be proud of you.” For his inaugural dance, Lochte and Burke received a total of 24 out of 40 points. Check out the video below of Lochte and Burke’s fotxtrot to Michael Buble’s “Call Me Irresponsible” on Monday’s “Dancing With The Stars.” NOTE: We will add video shortly.
Extreme Entertainment earlier busted a completely inaccurate article that alleged Lochte was not interested in rehearsing for “Dancing With The Stars” or that motivated to win. According to a National Enquirer story, the Olympic swimmer prefers “enjoying L.A.” and its lifestyle over practicing dance routines. A rep for Lochte, however, exclusively tells Extreme Entertainment he’s “fully dedicating himself” to the competition show.
