Melo, who spent the first two weeks of the year fasting, joked at the launch event for his new signature sneaker that the first thing he was going to eat was cereal. “I’m definitely going to get a bowl of [Honey Nut Cheerios], for sure,” the all-star quipped.
Garnett’s coach Doc Rivers has denied that KG made the controversial comments, but Garnett has not commented on the gossip directly.
The Knicks management has since placed microphones on the court to record trash talk to ensure rival teams are not crossing the line with their star player.
