Lindsay Lohan seems to have avoided big trouble — once again.
On Thursday, the actress was supposed to start her 90-day stint at Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, New York, a facility that had been agreed upon by her attorney and the prosecutors after they had done their due diligence on that center and five others.
But at the last minute, without the approval of the prosecution or the judge, Lohan’s lawyer decided to enroll her at Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, California, a facility not approved by the prosecutor.
And boy, did that not please the prosecutor.
In court, the prosecutor from the Santa Monica City Attorney’s office told the judge, “This is very inappropriate” and “unacceptable,” and noted he had seen “three articles condemning” Morningside Recovery.
Whoops.
In fact, now TMZ says Morningside Recovery no longer has a license to provide treament because last year it was revoked.
Double whoops.
As of now, Lohan is in the facility, unless the prosecutors ask for her to be yanked out of it, which they likely will.
Lohan is supposed to remain locked up in rehab until July 31.
At the end of the hearing, the judge expressed his displeasure with press leaks, and asked that no more be made during her rehab stint.
