Celebrities are weighing in on Amanda Bynes ’recent struggles, with fellow stars such as Lance Bass, Alyssa Milano and Russell Simmons expressing concern for the actress and urging her to get help.
Bass said on Las Vegas’ “Mark and Mercedes” radio show on Wednesday, “It’s one of those situations where obviously there’s some mental problems there and she’s not able to see that.”
The former *NSYNC singer, who worked with Bynes on the 2005 movie Love Wrecked, added, “No one is able to get to her. I’m actually really scared for her, and I hope someone is able to get to her to give her the help she needs.”
Meanwhile, Russell Simmons discussed the star’s situation in a post on Global Grind, writing, “It is sad for me to watch the struggles of this very talented young actress. I have seen this story play out so many times throughout my career.”
The music mogul went on to urge people not to judge “those who seem to be struggling in life.”
Former child star Ricky Schroder also spoke out about Bynes’ recent behavior, saying his heart goes out to the actress because she’s “in a place that’s not good” and surrounded by people who either “don’t care” or “want to capitalize on it.”
A number of stars have also taken to Twitter to express concern for the Easy A star.
After Courtney Love reached out to Bynes on the social media site, Alyssa Milano tweeted at the Hole singer, “I would totally be there if you can reach her. Let me know if I can help in any way.”
And Chrissy Teigen, whom Bynes slammed as “ugly” after the model expressed concern for her on Twitter, told “E! News,” “Something’s wrong and I just loved her. I loved her so much and I was rooting for her for so long, and what’s happening now is wrong. And I think social media is really a bad point for her right now, so I felt the need to say it.”
