Alanis Morissette is reportedly being sued by an ex-nanny who claims the singer essentially held her hostage in the baby’s bedroom.
According to Bianca Cambeiro’s lawsuit, Morissette and her husband Mario Treadway forced Cambeiro to work a 12-hour night shift — without breaks — in their son Ever’s room.
The former caretaker alleges that she was only allowed to leave if one of the child’s parents was in the room, or when the day-shift nanny arrived.
TMZ reports that Cambeiro also claims she was denied more than $30,000 in unpaid overtime and other wages, and is also seeking an additional $100,000 for emotional distress.
She worked for Morissette and Treadway from August 2011 to March 2013.
