George Foreman Remembers Ken Norton

Former heavyweight champion Ken Norton, who will forever be remembered as the man who beat Muhammad Ali, died at the age of 70 on Wednesday.
Another boxing champ, George Foreman, paid tribute by tweeting “They called us all handsome. Muhammad they called pretty. But The fairest of them all Ken Norton.” He included this magazine cover.

Pete Carroll, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks where his son is also a coach, tweeted, “Ken Norton Sr. was one of the greatest competitors to ever live. Thankful to have known him … This hits close to home for all of us.”
Extra’s Mario Lopez, who is an amateur boxer and boxing fan, added, “RIP Ken Norton… You were one of the great ones Champ. San Diego will always be proud of you.”
Norton has been sick for the last two years suffering from a series of strokes. He died Wednesday night in a hospital in Arizona.
