Insidious: Chapter 2 Projected For Win at Box Office Over The Family and Riddick

Insidious: Chapter 2 should scare up enough cash to win the weekend box office, according to early projections.

The horror sequel is on pace for $20 million.

In second place is The Family, the dark mob comedy starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, which should earn about $15.5 million.

Riddick ($7.5 million) should be #3.

The Spanish-language Instructions Not Included is expected to hit $6.5 million, ahead of We’re The Millersand Lee Daniels’ The Butler, both of both are projected for $5.7 million.

Animated family flick Planes is looking at $3.5 million and seventh place.

One Direction: This Is Us ($3 million), Elysium ($2.5 million) and Blue Jasmine ($2 million) should round out the Top 10.
